NEXTGEN BROADWAY

NEXTGEN BROADWAY (formerly THE KIDS NEXT DOOR) is Southern California's most talented young song and dance ensemble in residence at the Musical Theatre University. EXTGEN BROADWAY are nationally renowned and for the past twenty years have performed their high energy productions for conventions, trade shows and charity events throughout Southern California and the Western United States, working with such corporations as Toyota, Walt Disney Productions, Coca-Cola, Isuzu, Southern California Edison and Home-Aid Orange County's "Project Playhouse". They have appeared on both national television and radio, including appearances on both TODAY and GOOD MORNING AMERICA, and have produced and starred in five PBS television holiday specials. They have appeared as headliners seven times in Las Vegas and worked with such stars as Carol Channing, Tony Orlando, Debbie Reynolds, Vicki Lawrence, Carol Burnett, Bob Hope, Cathy Rigby, Rita Moreno, Don Ho, and Broadway legend John Raitt.

They were the featured young entertainers at Governor Pete Wilson's Inaugural and have worked regularly with the U.S.O. EXTGEN BROADWAY'S performers are selected by audition, are between the ages of 14-22, and come from all parts of Orange County and neighboring communities. Alumni of the group currently star on Film, Television, Broadway, and in popular music including Stephanie Block (Tony-Nominated star of Broadway’s Mystery Of Edwin Drood, Wicked, The Boy From Oz, The Pirate Queen and Nine To Five), Matthew Morrison (Star of Fox-Television's GLEE and Tony-nominated star of Broadway’s Light In The Piazza and South Pacific), Susan Egan (Tony-Award Star of Disney’s Broadway Beauty and the Beast, Triumph of Love and Cabaret), Lindsay Mendez (Drama Desk Nominated star of Broadway's Dogfight, Wicked and Godspell), Krysta Rodriguez (star of Broadway’s First Date and The Addams Family and co-star of TV's SMASH), Columbus Short (co-star of TV's SCANDAL and star of film STOMP THE YARD), Kamilah Marshall (Broadway’s Rent and Hairspray, currently touring with Bette Midler), Anneliese VanDerPol (Star of Broadway's Beauty And The Beast and co-star of TV's THAT'S SO RAVEN) and Terron Brooks (star of Broadway’s Lion King and VH-1 Feature Film THE TEMPTATIONS), and more.
