THE PREP ACADEMY
The MTU PREP ACADEMY is designed for young performers grades 5-8 , providing a structured, comprehensive Musical Theatre curriculum in a positive, nurturing environment. The purpose of the PREP ACADEMY is to introduce the young performer to basic acting, vocal and dance techniques and help them build a strong foundation for further education and performance opportunities. PREP ACADEMY students will have the opportunity to participate in selected “Meet The Masters” classes with Broadway and Hollywood professionals and to audition for/participate in selected MTU Main Stage Productions. In addition, performance opportunities will be offered that are specifically designed for PREP ACADEMY participants.

INTRODUCTION TO ACTING * CREATIVE DRAMATICS * IMPROVISATION * MUSICAL THEATRE SKILLS * BEGINNING AUDITION SKILLS * DANCE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE * INTROUCTION TO SINGING * BEGINNING VOCAL TECHNIQUE * PERFORMANCE LAB * MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION
Participants in grades 7/8 may audition for participation in The University Program based on their prior experience and the discretion of The Executive Director and Faculty.
