The Kids Next Door
The KIDS NEXT DOOR is Southern California's most talented young song and dance ensemble in residence at the Musical Theatre University. The KIDS NEXT DOOR are nationally renowned and for the past twenty years have performed their high energy productions for conventions, trade shows and charity events throughout Southern California and the Western United States, working with such corporations as Toyota, Walt Disney Productions, Coca-Cola, Isuzu, Southern California Edison and Home-Aid Orange County's "Project Playhouse". They have appeared on both national television and radio and have produced and starred in five PBS television holiday specials. They have appeared as headliners seven times in Las Vegas and worked with such stars as Tony Orlando, Debbie Reynolds, Vicki Lawrence, Carol Burnett, Bob Hope, Cathy Rigby, Rita Moreno, Don Ho, and Broadway legend John Raitt.
They were the featured young entertainers at Governor Pete Wilson's Inaugural and have worked regularly with the U.S.O. The KIDS NEXT DOOR are selected by audition, are between the ages of 14-22, and come from all parts of Orange County and neighboring communities. Alumni of the group currently star on Film, Television, Broadway, and in popular music and include Susan Egan (Tony Award nominated star of "Beauty and the Beast" and "Cabaret"), Stephanie Block (star of national tour of "Wicked" and "The Boy From Oz" opposite Hugh Jackman), Matthew Morrison (Tony Award nominated star of Broadway's "The Light In The Piazza" and Golden Globe nominated star of Fox-TVs "GLEE"), Allison Mack (co-star of WB TV's "Smallville"), Annelise VanDerPol (co-star of Disney TV's "That's So Raven"), Kamilah Martin (star of Broadway's "Rent" and recently toured as a 'Harlette' with Bette Midler), Krysta Rodriguez (star of Broadway's "The Addams Family"), Lindsay Mendez (star of Broadway's "Grease" and off-Broadway's "Marvelous Wonderettes), Columbus Short (star of feature films "Cadillac Records" and "Stomp The Yard", and Terron Brooks (star of Broadway's "Lion King" and NBC-TV miniseries "The Temptations"), and more. |
