      PREP ACADEMY CLASS SCHEDULE FALL 2011

MONDAYS

3:30 - 5:30 PM

"ACTING 101: ACTING SKILLS AND IMPROVISATION"

Instructor: Laurie Mason

12 weeks

This class with focus on monologues, scene work, improv, theatre games, characterization and stage craft.  Prerequisite:  Need to be a strong reader.  No previous acting training necessary.  Ages 8-13. Younger students may be admitted with permission of instructor.

TUESDAYS

3:30-5:00

"VOCAL RESULTS/ INTRODUCTION TO SINGING AND PERFORMANCE"

Instructor: David Anthony

12 weeks:

Learn the fast and effective ways to increase your singing and performing skills in a safe and fun environment. Students will be taped on the first day and last day of the course so that the progress can be measured. Students will receive multiple age appropriate audition songs and piano practice tracks. They will become more comfortable and confident in their singing abilities which will be reflected in future auditions.

WEDNESDAYS

3:30-5:30

"MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE LAB: HOLIDAY HOOPLA"

12 weeks:

 

This class will culminate in a fully staged holiday musical review.  Every participant will be featured with a small solo/duet/trio.  Performers will learn staging, choreography, acting, singing while working on the material for the show.

Participants will also be required to sell ten (10) tickets to performance.
