Welcome to MTU
David Green’s MUSICAL THEATRE UNIVERSITY, in residence at NO SQUARE THEATRE, provides intensive, high level training designed to meet the needs of both professional performers and “aspiring-professional” performers and to develop the “triple threat” skills of the actor/singer/dancer necessary to attain and sustain a career in Musical Theatre. The core faculty is made up of working professional “artist-teachers” supplemented by celebrated guest-artist Master Teachers from Broadway and Hollywood. Concurrent with the MTU curriculum, students have the opportunity to participate in professionally produced theatrical productions, in many cases working alongside celebrated Broadway performers in a unique relationship with Actor’s Equity. The MTU is home to several unique programs, created and developed by founder David Green, including THE MTU NATIONAL YOUTH SUMMER STOCK, THE BROADWAY INTENSIVE, THE NEW WORKS PROJECT and the nationally renowned performing group THE KIDS NEXT DOOR.

Also, check out the Master Class with composer Ryan Scott Oliver, winner of the Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theatre and the ASCAP Foundation Harold Adamson Lyric Award.
In July, MTU students had a Master Class with Broadway composer, Jason Robert Brown! An amazingly in-depth and intensive workshop gave kids direct contact with, and a chance to perform and be critiqued by, the composer of "13" and "Parade."
